Guy: I thought about it a lot and I’d be very honored to play the part.
Girl: What part?
Guy: Your prince, your purpose.
Girl: Oh, dear. That was only in the prior version. We’ve re-written.
Guy: So what’s the role now?
Girl: The prince/purpose is now more of a villain/tormentor.
Guy: Oh my. Why is that?
Girl: It seems more true. Whatever one holds most dearly, puts above one’s own purpose becomes one’s despot.
Guy: Well that’s a dreary view of human relations if I ever heard one!
Girl: Perhaps it’s dreary. Is it not still true?
Guy: You are a Director alright. Seeing all things through one solitary lens.
Girl: Is there another way?
