dancing while i can

by colleen on February 19, 2008

chonkers2.jpgi love president’s day. slept late, ran outside (it’s 60 degrees in nyc, yo). met a friend for coffee, did a coupla things at the office. going to meet another old pal for drinks & dinner. spring is in the air, if only for a day. a nice reminder that no season lasts forever. administrations end. so do bad jobs (and good ones too, unfortunately). babies grow (just look how big my beloved snugglekins is already). people change. everyone dies. we are the dancers and life is the dance. when we’re gone, the dance goes on. while we’re here, we may as well enjoy it.

Four things:

1.we are the dancers and life is the dance. when we’re gone, the dance goes on

Thanks for that, col. You put things into perspective so well.

2.That has to be the cutest baby, evah.

3.Little known fact: the federal holiday is officially called Washington’s Birthday, not Presidents Day.

4.It’s 60 in NYC. It’s 6 here. I’m kind of hating you for that.
