the secret to happiness: low expectations

i find this interesting and pretty right on. even though, goddamnit i wish barry schwartz would just put on a pair of pants. i feel like larry sitting next to the guy in shorts on the airplane … disgusted. but i digress. the subject at hand: the paradox of choice. too much choice leaves us overwhelmed, paralyzed, grasping for meaning. that’s why often times those with the greatest resources and wealth are the most miserable. they don’t know how to delight in what they have because what they have knows no bounds.
