when i met david he was a baby. i babysat for him and his older sister elizabeth since the time I was fourteen. they lived down the street with their mom who is one of my dear friends and mentors. we’ve had vacations, holidays and all kinds of life events together over the years. still, it is staggering to me that little david is going to be twenty four years old a week from tomorrow. here we are together at his birthday party last night at demarest farms, the amazing little farm that we grew up up the street from. dave was in his glory, making friends, dancing, and sharing his amazing spirit with everyone. it was a special night in hillsdale!
